Foothill Hops Farm Brewery, a small production brewery and taproom in Munnsville, NY, is looking to expand its team of part-time taproom servers. We’re interested in talking to self-motivated, enthusiastic individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, willing to wear many hats, and of course, people who love beer!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Taproom servers will be responsible for:

  • Greeting, interacting with, providing guidance to, and answering questions from customers

  • Proper pouring technique in glasses and growlers

  • Maintaining cleanliness of the taproom and glassware

  • Keeping items (snacks, coasters, growlers, glassware, etc.) stocked for operation ease

  • Ensuring policies and liquor laws are being followed

  • Handling cash and processing transactions through a point-of-sale system

  • Working to properly and respectfully market and represent the taproom and Foothill Hops Farm Brewery

  • Providing excellent customer service, ensuring that all of our customers have the best possible experience.

  • Kitchen assist - Preparing simple taproom food items and serving guests (as needed)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and remain calm in a bustling environment

  • A love for craft beer and a working knowledge of the industry

  • Experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in alcohol/beverages

  • Attention to detail, cleanliness, and ability to work independently

  • Math skills necessary to accurately perform calculations and process payment transactions

  • Excellent verbal communication and skills

  • Flexible schedule including working nights and weekends

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to reach, bend, stoop.

  • Lift 55 lbs to waist height.

  • Move 1/2 BBL (165 lb) kegs using hand-truck.

  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Job Type: Part-Time

  • Hours: As-needed basis. Afternoons and/or evenings. Thursday through Monday.

  • $15/hr plus shared tips from pool
