Our Story

The Whole Hop Experience

When you visit us, you will enjoy more than fine NYS craft beverages and good company. You will get the whole hop experience.

  • In the taproom, see tools and artifacts of the hops era of the 1800’s when New York provided 90% of the nation’s hops.

  • Want to make your own beer and wine, we have a wide selection of homebrew ingredients and equipment in our brew shop.

  • Outside we invite you to explore the hop yard and harvesting area where we began growing an industry.

  • And most importantly, we will share our story with you over a brew or two.

We are located on the north side of the Fisher’s Electric building, one mile south of the Village of Munnsville on NYS Route 46 at the base of the Bear Path Hill. Nestled at the southern end of the Stockbridge Valley, we are at the foot of hills to our east, west, and south. Hence the name “Foothill Hops”.

Directions from the North - From Route 5 in the city of Oneida, take Route 46 south 7 miles. Pass through the village of Munnsville and travel one mile south to the corner of Pratts Road and Route 46. We are located on the left .

Directions from the South - From the Route 20 / Route 12 junction in the Bouckville - Pine Woods area, take Route 46 north for 7 miles. As you approach the base of the Bear Path Hill, brake and signal a right-hand turn. The driveways are difficult to spot from this direction.
